'If you haven't seen him live, then you haven't seen him at his very best' ***** – The Mirror
'Rare is the stand-up show that makes you laugh, think and then fight back the tears. This is it'
**** – The Daily Telegraph

A brighter than ever galaxy of comedy stars have already signed up to raise laughs and funds in the sixth annual comedy gig planned by the charity War on Want, which backs workers and others, around the world, fighting poverty.
The charity has booked the show for London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 1 May, International Workers’ Day, when protests for improved pay and conditions will take place in Britain and overseas.
Top class comedians supporting the charity include The Thick of it/Stand Up for the Week star Sara Pascoe; I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, The Now Show and Just A Minute regular Marcus Brigstocke; Comedy Store Cutting Edge regular and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow comedian Imran Yusuf; Hilarious stand-up comedian and star of Channel Four's Peep Show Isy Suttie; Winner of the 2012 Amused Moose Award for Best Comedy Show and "wonderful French wit" Marcel Lucont; Cutting Edge team member and co-creator/writer of No Pressure to be Funny Alistair Barrie; "Gifted and unpretentious" master of the comedy circuit John Moloney; qualified GP and international stand up comic of many years standing Paul Sinha and Comedy Store regular Paul Thorne. Further acts to be announced.
Adina Claire, fundraising and communications director at War on Want, said: “We are thrilled that so many terrific comedians have agreed to appear in a show that will be bigger and better than ever. We hope many people will book for a brilliant night in a marvellous cause, helping people fight poverty.”
The charity, established in 1951, fights poverty in developing countries in partnership with people affected by globalisation. It campaigns for human rights and against the root causes of global poverty, inequality and injustice.
War on Want joins forces with some of the world’s bravest and most inspiring groups. It works for lasting change in rural communities, factories, sweatshops, and conflict zones and on the margins of society.
